English Riding Lessons
Katie has been riding and competing for the last 27 years. She has shown in Dressage, A-Circuit Hunter/Jumpers, and Eventing. She began riding with Avalon in Oregon and moved to Texas in 2015 where our Pampa location was born. See more about our team here.
On your first riding lesson, you should wear a pair of stretch pants (jeans are acceptable, but not recommended) and a pair of riding boots. We recommend paddock boots and half chaps. We have loaner helmets available until you are ready to purchase one of your own.

As a beginning student, you will learn how to groom, tack, and untack. You will learn how to steer, walk, trot, and basic equitation. When you have mastered these skills, you will learn how to canter.
Once you can perform these basic skills you will move up to intermediate and can specialize your training in dressage, jumping, cross country, or just keep riding with a professional there to help you grow as a rider.
When you are ready, we will be there to help you lease or find a horse of your own. We also can help you with shows.
